I serve as Country Director and Programme Manager at Social Development Integrate Association (SDIA UK) CIC, where my work centres on supporting social development programmes, building stakeholder relationships, forming partnerships, and shaping programme planning for community-focused initiatives.
Working closely with communities on the ground has shaped how I think about development — not as a set of interventions delivered to people, but as a process built with them, grounded in local realities and long-term trust.

Vision for postgraduate study
I believe that formal postgraduate education in Social Work would allow me to build on this practical foundation — strengthening my theoretical knowledge, sharpening research skills, and deepening my professional practice.
My aim is to bring that stronger foundation back into the field, so I can contribute more effectively to vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka, where much of my programme work is grounded.

Its international office sits in the UK, with an operational base in Sri Lanka, connecting global development frameworks to grassroots community work — with a particular focus on integrating women, youth, and rural families into mainstream development through participatory, community-based programmes.
